The New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership has launched a new \"green economy pathfinder\" manifesto for government to showcase the region as a leader in developing a cutting edge approach to the green economy.
In advance of the launch of the New Anglia LEP Green Economy Pathfinder manifesto to Government, Gregory Darling, NSMC Director and Chair of Gardline Group of companies visited Andy Wood, Chairman of the New Anglia LEP. Gregory presented Andy with a copy of the NSMC sponsored energy report which highlights the significant opportunities that the development of the offshore energy sector presents to the region and highlights the actions that need to be taken now to secure the opportunities. The LEP is well placed to do this and needs to promote, showcase and recommend to government and business the work of the sector that is already underway in Norfolk and Suffolk and highlight the region’s strong marine and maritime economy. The NSMC welcomes the new manifesto but note that it is dominated by the traditional land based sectors. Other LEPs have already recognised the opportunities in the marine sector and have bid for regional growth funds to support development. We hope the LEP can secure some scarce government resources to support growth and jobs.
A copy of our Energy Report will be available to download son.
