NSMC welcomes award of Central Government LEP funding to New Anglia LEP
- Ministers have confirmed the allocation of the £500milllion Growing Places Fund to boost economic growth by getting the required infrastructure built to enable the creation of new homes and jobs and get stalled projects moving again.
- In the case of the New Anglia LEP, this amounted to an award of £12.289M. This forms part of a wider package of benefits (mainly around housing) and additional money has been allocated from CLG. It is down to LEPs to prioritize locally what projects should be funded and monies can be offered to developers.

NSMC recognize the role the fund can play in supporting regional growth and notes the importance of the marine sector to the regional economy.
